Sir, Good afternoon. My son did not start to file his income tax returns , because of his health issues.
Now I got checked up his salary statements and his AS 26 tax credits then it is found that the employer has deducted TDS more than 30000 in two financial years and paid to the Income tax department. But during these years no tax was due to be paid as he did not earn taxable income because he did not work for whole year due to illness.
Sir Can he file his tax returns for previous years from FY 2015-16 to date. Is there any penelity for filing late returns. Will he get refund of excess TDS paid
